COUNCIL UNVEILS NEW POT-HOLE
HOTLINE!
Last year more than 3,500
residents responded to the On the Road to Improvement consultation,
with pothole repairs the most popular choice from a list of 14
options.
In response to these
results Haringey Council have agreed to invest an
additional £200,000 to facilitate a dedicated pothole blitz in
every ward. I am pleased to inform you that this blitz has now been
launched and that a new pothole hotline is now in
operation.
As part of the blitz, we have
appointed a new highways inspector who will identify potholes and
order their repair over a two week period in each ward.
Bounds Green's inspection will be in September of this
year - so get reporting those pot-holes to me
today!
Potholes can be reported by calling the new
hotline on 020 8489 3993. This will be staffed
during usual office hours, with an ansaphone facility for out of
hours calls. You can continue to make highways-related reports by
calling the Business Support Unit on 020 8489 1335. The Business
Support Unit will also provide back-up for the hotline.
Potholes can be reported
online at www.haringey.gov.uk/is_potholes
We have set a new target period
of seven working days for repairing all potholes reported to us,
and we will continue to repair those potholes judged to be most
serious within 24 hours.
